Always an incredible experience. It's one of those places where you think "Maybe this time won't be perfect." And yet, everything is impeccable every time.

No doubt their food tastes awesome. I went to Junoon on a cold Sunday. I was happy as I knew that I was going to relish some good Indian foods. To my surprise the food was even more delicious than I expected. The only disappointment was the dessert which I didn’t like much ( Again it’s my opinion which may differ from others though) . Let’s come to the look of the restaurant. I believe it seriously needs some modifications as i expected way more from once a Michelin star restaurant.

Junoon is a sophisticated Indian restaurant that is an elegant space with ornate accents. The staff are great and really know what is up. Since it is a Michelin starred restaurant you would expect no less. The food is top quality and it is traditional Indian food with a little twist. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is in NYC and has the money to enjoy a dinner.

we went there and got to know that they don't allow the kids age under 10.i thought it was family restaurant and so we were curios to know the reason and so, we asked reason to the lady and she said, we are not allowing because kids play around everyone and guests gets disturbed. we were like really. is this it even valid or genuine reason? There's no meaning to enjoy without full family and or you should provide the babysitter then lol. worst logic ever. not giving any star at all

Hands down the best Indian food I have ever tried!

Enjoyed our meal here. The food was good and service was excellent. For me the appetizers were the best part of the meal. While Main I would call average. The prices are on the higher side but worth visiting this place. They do have a pre fix menu which is great with plenty of choices. Drinks were good too.

Junoon is an all time favorite of mine. I eat here often. It's a splurge and the service isn't like amazing. The food is classy. You pay for a lot more than what you are getting. However, it's a clean, quiet and safe environment to dine at. It's not too noisy and it's a great place to relax and wind down. I moved to New Jersey so I don't come here often anymore, however, I will definetly be coming more often again. I would even eat here daily if I lived close enough even if it costs a ton. If you can afford it, it's worth at least a try. If not, it's worth saving for like I did as a small lad. Lol.

The service here was amazing, and the food top notch. I made the mistake of getting a three main meal for one person. These are not small plates, and the main course comes with a ton of sides. You could split a three mains meal between two people and still have leftovers. If you like spicy get the ghost pepper chicken, it was very good and quite hot.

Best Indian food in New York area. Very tasty and well presented food. Excellent ambience. Lovely place.

Editing my review to three stars. I went there for the NY restaurant week. I wasn't so pleased with the offering unlike other visits. The food was okay but missed the wow factor, great presentation as always. Portion was comparatively small. They could've been more innovative with the most of the dish as they used to be earlier.

My husband and I went there for dinner yesterday. We have tried other upscale restaurants in this area and I can say without a doubt that Junoon is the best. Really enjoyed drinks(5 stars to Jaljeera) , food and ambiance - true reflection of cultural heritage. Restaurant staff was very friendly too. We recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a michelin star game experience !!

Overrated: decent food, but service left a lot to be desired.Had heard rave reviews about Junoon, hence decided to have my birthday celebration here during my trip to NYC.Starters and drinks were fantastic; main course was also alright, although I found an extremely sharp stem in my dish that could have potentially been a choke hazard. Upon informing the staff, there was just a casual apology for it: not what I’d expect from a restaurant of (supposedly) Michelin calibre. The surprise cake for the birthday itself was a joke, a tiny cake without any wishes on it or any personal greeting from the waiter either, who just placed it and walked away offhandedly. Far from a good experience overall, wouldn’t recommend solely for the pompous attitude displayed by the waiting staff. Never visiting again.

Given all the hype, I had expected a truly amazing dining experience. I was excited to find interesting and unusual menu options but while the food was good, it felt like most of it was laden with oil or butter. Didn't live up to the hype for me.

The best part about going here was during the restaurant week. The special pricing for everything made us worth the food. Honestly, the food was just ok. Although its fine dine restaurant we didn’t really feel like it was one. The weird part was they just gave single menu for entire table and didn’t even bother to ask if we needed extra menu. I didn’t think there was menu shortage. They made sure our glass was filled with water so wouldn’t complain about service. Drinks were good. Food is just average. Dont think will go back.

It was an extremely nice experience at this place. Me and my wife were here to have a nice dinner for her birthday. The food, the staff and the service was excellent. They also surprised us with a nice cake to celebrate my wife's birthday. Overall , a great and satisfactory experience.

We love this place... they serve a potato salad that is absolutely one of the best I've ever had. All their food is fantastic and great service.

I eat here a lot since I work right next to it. I must say their service is always fantastic and they keep the spot clean at all times. Pricing is fair and they serve generous portions.

Had an extraordinary experience. The food is top quality. Ghost chicken kebab is a must try for spicy food lovers. Best deserts they have. Great staff and service from AJ was fantastic. Absolutely enjoyed it.

Our hotel concierge recommended us to try this place out and wow it was indeed a spectacular experience. The staff were most obliging and invited us in. We haven't waited long and were taken to a table. Such good service! We felt welcome and the food was simply divine, even if somewhat expensive. Definitely will go again when in NYC.

Have heard this place for a long time, finally had a meal in NYC 2020 winter restaurant week. Food is nice with detailed introduction. However, when we arrived at 5.30p.m.,the roof was under construction. We don't mind that at the beginning of our meals. But when the fire alarm was triggered and the alarm light kept flashing, several waiter just stood there without giving us any explanation or comfort, which was really disappointing.

Great place. Service is attentive and skilled, and the food is so good - elevated and sophisticated. Spicy ghost pepper chicken, artichoke hearts with fresh peas, goat in red chili sauce. It is really nice to find high end Indian cuisine in the city. Totally worth it!

Indian food with a twist. Good size portions for lunch and the Waiter says wait till you come for dinner, We have bigger portions. Could cut down on the salt a little bit. The spices are ground fresh. You can tell from the taste. The rest rooms were clean but really stinky. The stink starts right from the stairs above. They really need to use some natural odour eliminators.

What a turn off- No kids allowed!! We were so excited to go there with a friend who was long awaiting to visit the place but then they said no kids allowed and that too for a lunch!! Not allowing kids at a restaurant for lunch should be made illegal! An Indian restaurant doing something like that is so shocking- not an Indian thing at all! Indians are known for their hospitality not for turning away sweet innocent kids!Hope they reconsider their decision!

Good vibe. Comfortable seating. Nice staff. This is the last stop of this restaurant week. 5 stars for the ice-cream, the leaf and rose flavors were stunning. 4 stars for entrees. They were spicy and flavorful. Rice and breads were delicious. 3 stars for appetizers. The sourness is kinda overpowering other flavors.

Very very good. A couple of important things to note, these details may vary based on their current menu but best to be prepared just in case. (1) Unlike most other Michelin starred restaurants I've been to, they did not pull punches on the spice levels. As a lover of fiery foods, I was thrilled by this. If you enjoy food that will open up your pores and ignite your tongue, this place can deliver the goods. (2) Be sure to save room - the main course of the prix fixe was surprisingly big. The appetizer and kebab courses are decent sizes, large enough that you would reasonably get the impression that they would be doling out the meal as 3 savory courses of roughly equal size, and then a dessert. Nope - the main course is an extravagant affair with significantly more food than the preceding courses. We did not remotely stand a chance of finishing it all. It was all delicious though!

Went there tonight to try the restaurant week menu and was very impressed with the options and the food served. The main dining hall was meh but the food was really good! Kulfi Pops for dessert was my favorite!

Service was super slow and the food was good- but not good enough to justify the slow wait time. Ordered the margherita pizza to start which was nice but not thin-crust enough to compete with most traditional margherita pizzas. They serve big glasses of wine though...

The best fine dining experience I've ever had. Period. The portions were not only sizable they were delicious. We all were in the smaller room, very personal setting. I had the beet salmon dish along with some type of chicken. It was amazing. Make sure you make a reservation. So worth every penny.

Well this place does have good food, tho the service is pompous and stuffy. The restaurant is large and roomy but kind of cold and sterile. Like I say the food is good but not outstanding.Skip the dessert. But of course you can't skip the dessert because it's all prefix. And one of the included items is a dessert.
